Help Table of Contents Print Shipping Label Batch Import Orders
To ship a package or express letter you need to create and order. Orders can
be entered manually as described on this page or they can be batch imported to easily
input multiple orders
with just one click. To create an order
click on the
Customer-Order View
Tab. The screen shot below shows what this Tab looks like initialy before
you enter any information. The instructions below show how to manually enter
order information into the Shipping Saver database. Batch importing many orders
all at once into the database is another way to put orders into the system. You can view our online demo of creating and order.
The next step is to choose an item to ship by clicking the green drop down list labeled "Choose Item to Ship". When the Silverthorne Shipping Saver is initially installed there will only be two items in the drop down list, Package and Letter.
You can ship a package or express letter by choosing one of these items in the drop down list. You can also Add Products you ship to the database so that your
products will also be listed in the drop down list. This way the software
will keep track of what specifically you are shipping. Once you choose a package, letter, or product to ship, the Order Products List will be filled in as shown in the screen shot below.
Next, enter the zip code that the package is being shipped to as shown in the screen
shot below.
Now click the fill button. Clicking the fill button will cause the City and State to automatically be filled in as shown in the screen
shot below.
Now enter the Name, Address, and Email adress of the person receiving the shipment
as shown in the screen
shot below. If the the billing address is the same as the shipping address, click the checkbox as shown below. If the billing address
is different than the shipping address, click the Bill To Tab and enter the billing information.
Now click the Add Order button. This will save the Customer and Order information to the database.
If you want to ship an order, go to the Search Menu Tab and click on the row of the Order you
want to ship. This will Load the Order into Customer-Order View.
Now that the order is created, you can print the shipping label.
You can also modify the items in the Order Products List.
