DigiWeigh Scale Settings

First, install the device drivers that came on  the CD supplied with your  DigiWeigh scale.  When installing the device drivers you will select a communications port for the scale, the choices are (COM1, COM2, COM3, or COM4).  In the picture of device manager below you can see that our scale was set up to work with the COM4 port.  Even though the DigiWeigh scale uses USB, it's driver makes it use a serial communications port.  Next open up the Windows device Manager.  Click Start, click Run, type devmgmt.msc, and then click OK.  You will then see a windows dialog similar to the one below.  Expand the Ports selection.  You should see CP210x USB to UART Bridge Controller.  Click this port item to select it.  Now right click and click Properties.

Click the Port Settings tab. Choose the port settings as pictured below:

Then click the OK button.
