Mettler Toledo Scale Settings

To set up a Mettler Toledo scale to work with the serial RS232 cable, first select your scale type with the Scale Type drop down list.  Next, select the port for the scale in the Scale Port drop down list.  The only choices that can be selected for scale port are (COM1 - COM4).  The selection for USB port is disabled as this selection is not valid for your serial RS232 connection.  The last and very important step after choosing your scale type and scale port options is to click the "Save" button.  This saves your selections.

To set up a Mettler Toledo scale to work with the USB connection, first select your scale type with the Scale Type drop down list.  Next, select the port for the scale in the Scale Port drop down list.  The only choice that can be selected for scale port is USB.  The selection for COM ports are disabled as COM ports are not valid for your USB connection.  The picture below shows the selections for setting up the Mettler Toledo PS60 USB scale.  The last and very important step after choosing your scale type and scale port options is to click the "Save " button.  This saves your selections.
